Wow, I didn't realize just how much I've ignored this blog! I finished up Marla Frazee's class at Art Center. Here's my Christmas card in progress, following Marla's technique of soaking one ply paper, stapling it to a board to dry overnight, and then painting. I did a pencil rendering of my house, and followed with some simple watercolor.

I'm taking a class at Art Center Pasadena with one of my artist heroes,
Marla Frazee. Here's one of her assignments - I drew my character in
the style of children's book illustrators I admire: Patricia Polacco,
Peter Reynolds, Heath McKenzie, Tomie DePaola, Jules Feiffer, and Chris
